Happy Valentines to Me...

I know that I am late on this but I am ESTATIC with my Valentines/Birthday present!!! Andy took me to the Container Store when they were having their huge 30% off sale and we got a closet designed.

Here is a picture of all of the pieces before...
I am SO glad that my talented husband knows how to put it together :) More pics to come of the end result... (Sorry about our messy junk room)

Baked Potato Soup

I <3 Potato Soup but I am super picky picky about it, I am a texture person. So when my mom gave me the recipe that she got from my Me-Maw I knew that I wanted to try it.

What you need:
1 Can of Cream of Celery Soup
Milk
Baked Potato
Cheese
Bacon Bits
and Salt and Pepper

You empty the can of Cream of Celery Soup into your sauce pan, then fill that can up with milk and dump it in. Peel the baked potato and put it in a microwave safe dish and cover it with water. Bring to a boil you want to make sure that the potato is soft enough that you can stab it with a fork. Cut the potato up into chunks and add to the soup mix, add salt and pepper. Once it is heated enough to eat add bacon bits and cheese and that's it... SO SIMPLE!! Enjoy :)

Just a few of my favorite things...

Since the holidays have come and gone and all of the decorations have been put up I thought I would remind myself what a great Christmas I had and share some of my favorite gifts.

Gas Logs for our Fireplace: From the In Laws and the Hubby
(Lights On & Lights Off)

MY Canon PowerShot 10 megapixel camera: From My Hubby
and My Garmin GPS: From my Parents

- anyone who truly knows me knows how horrible I am with directions, I tend to panic when I don't know where I am going and for some reason go faster instead of slower and always get turned around. This will truly be my lifesaver :)

I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas!!! What was your favorite gift??

Merry Christmas and Happy 2009!!

I can't believe how behind I got on my blogging... I was SO busy at work since it was the end of the year and then the week after Christmas I took off work, so blogging was the last thing that I have thought about. So anyways since I missed it Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas...

I have been meaning to post this since before Dec 1st but I have just now gotten my pictures uploaded. Andy got all of my Christmas stuff out of the attic and I started decorating the weekend before Thanksgiving since I wanted to get to enjoy it a whole month before taking it down. Here are some pics of the house decorated... what can I say I am a Christmas person!!

And Outdoors

(some close-ups just clink on the pictures to make larger)

I am so happy with how my outside looks this year compared to last year, it might have something to do with my mom giving me some of her old stuff. Maybe it is just the memories that I have associated with them. I am LOVING my Santa and candles by the walkway I bought them at Canton this year.

Favorite Holiday Treat...

Texas Gold-Bars!!!
I wanted to give everyone the recipe because they are SO Easy and SO Good.  For Christmas I like to give my neighbors something edible and this year this is what they will be receiving.
