It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas...

I have been meaning to post this since before Dec 1st but I have just now gotten my pictures uploaded. Andy got all of my Christmas stuff out of the attic and I started decorating the weekend before Thanksgiving since I wanted to get to enjoy it a whole month before taking it down. Here are some pics of the house decorated... what can I say I am a Christmas person!!

(some close-ups just clink on the pictures to make larger)

I am so happy with how my outside looks this year compared to last year, it might have something to do with my mom giving me some of her old stuff. Maybe it is just the memories that I have associated with them. I am LOVING my Santa and candles by the walkway I bought them at Canton this year.

Favorite Holiday Treat...

Texas Gold-Bars!!!
I wanted to give everyone the recipe because they are SO Easy and SO Good.  For Christmas I like to give my neighbors something edible and this year this is what they will be receiving.
Ingredients you will need...
  • 1 Yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 bag of powered sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • 2 packages of cream cheese
Mix 1 box of yellow cake mix
1 stick of butter (1/2 cup) melted and 1 egg beaten

Our Anniversary Weekend...

On our actual anniversary which was on Tuesday Nov 25 Andy and I went to the Mavericks game and dinner down in Victory Plaza. He also sent me the beautiful roses below :)

We had such a great Holiday weekend, on Thursday we made our way down to my parents where we had a GREAT thanksgiving lunch with my parents and grandparents. We really remembered what we were thankful for.... On Friday Andy went to the deer lease with his dad and my mom, Me-maw and I made our way through the cold and rain to Canton.

On Sat night is when we decided to celebrate our Anniversary we went to the Westin in Frisco where we did some Christmas shopping at Stonebrier and then went to dinner and a movie. We loved just getting to spend time together.
